When responsible manufacturers and retailers choose to sign up to the asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Programme, their products are rigorously scientifically tested to make sure that they are suitable for people with asthma and allergies.
Only independently tested products that are proven to help people avoid exposure to substances that can trigger allergies and asthma symptoms qualify to carry the Certification mark.
The proprietary series of Certification Standards are developed by Allergy Standards Limited (ASL) and adopted by Asthma UK after a review and agreement by an independent Medical Review Panel.
The number of Certification Standards continues to grow in order to encompass a wide range of products recommended by leading medical experts and healthcare organisations. The asthma & allergy friendly™ Certification Programme reserves the right to regularly review and update its standards to incorporate advances in available technology and changes in the standards of care.
