A family at home

If you suffer from asthma and allergy symptoms, you’ll know that there are many triggers in the home. House-dust mites, cats, dogs and other pets can all cause your nose to run, your eyes and skin to itch, or wheezing and sneezing.

The asthma & allergy friendlyTM Certification Mark is supported by Asthma UK to provide world-class, gold-standard protection against indoor allergens and irritants. Every product that carries the mark has been independently scientifically tested and proven to be suitable for people that suffer from asthma and related allergic sensitivities.

The Certification Programme, which was developed by Allergy Standards Limited, is already a great success in the US and Canada, where it runs in partnership with the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and the Asthma Society of Canada, respectively.

How will it work for me?

Products that carry the asthma & allergy friendlyTM Certification Mark effectively minimise exposure to allergens. But everyone is different, and while it isn’t possible to say who is more likely to benefit, it is sometimes easier for people to try asthma and allergy friendly products and base their judgements on personal experience.

The products are all rigorously tested against clearly outlined standards so you can trust that they will reduce your exposure to indoor allergens and irritants.
